Help support Honey Days Campaign in Leitrim

The Leitrim Branch of Down Syndrome Ireland announced the launch of the Down Syndrome Ireland Honey Days Campaign.

TV3’s Martin King recently created a buzz as he joined a number of children with Down Syndrome to celebrate the launch of Down Syndrome Ireland’s 2012 Honey Days campaign.

The campaign will take place throughout October with hundreds of volunteers and supporters across the country selling Boyne Valley mini honey pots for €2 or honey lollipops for €1 and together helping the thousands of people with Down Syndrome in Ireland. The campaign which is generously supported by The Boyne Valley Honey Company is one of Down Syndrome Ireland’s largest fundraiser and is in its 17th year.

As part of the campaign, Down Syndrome Ireland are running a nationwide photography competition for the best snap of a “Busy Bee Honey Days Volunteer.” All you have to do is take a photo of any volunteer you see selling honey pots and honey lollies and email it to info@downsyndrome.ie. The Boyne Valley Honey Company is giving away a fabulous iPad to the photographer who takes the winning photo of a volunteer with the best Honey Days branding display.

Funds raised from the campaign are shared between the National organisation and local branches and so monies raised support a wide range of projects at both local and national level. If you would like to help - telephone 01 4266500, follow us on Facebook or visit downsyndrome.ie
