Planning delayed on Ballinamore Secondary School
There are concerns over the viability of sourcing funding for the public private element of Ballinamore's new school.
Planning has been delayed a second time for Ballinamore’s new secondary school with the planning department of Leitrim County Council seeking further clarification on a small number of safety issues.
Planning had been expected in December last year however it was put back to January after a request was made for further information. Planning was expected to be cleared last Friday but further information has once again been sought. Cllr Caillian Ellis told the Leitrim Observer that he had been in touch with the County Manager and had been assured that the planning issue would not impact on the school.
