Caving event in Blacklion

Try your hand at caving this coming weekend.

Want to try caving? Don’t know how to go about it? The Speleological Union of Ireland is pleased to announce their Try Caving Weekend of March 2 and 3. The event is open to people of 18 and over, is free to attendees and will include a beginners caving trip led by experienced cavers.

Two events will be run over the weekend: one on the Marlbank Scenic Loop, Co. Fermanagh and the other in the Burren region of Co. Clare. Basic equipment will be available for loan so come and have a go!

The Shannon Cave Group will be hosting the northern event and will be meeting in Blacklion, Co. Cavan on Saturday and Sunday, March 2 and 3. To find out more about times, places, caves and clothing required email trycaving@caving.ie and have a look here for some basic information.
