One act Drama Festival November 16-18 at the Corn Mill Theatre, Carriglalen.

The ninth Annual One Act Drama Festival will be held in the Corn Mill Theatre, Carrigallen, this weekend, November 16 -18.

On Friday and Saturday night the performances get underway from 8pm while Sunday’s event starts at 2.30pm.

Nine groups with nine different plays ensure a great weekend of drama and Adjudicator for this year’s awards is Martin Maguire.

Friday, November 16 will see Sligo Drama Circle perform A Kind of Alaska (OPEN), Breffni Players will showcase Scarecrow (CONFINED) and Rasper Players will play 4.48 Psychosis (OPEN).

On Saturday City Limits will take on Baby Sparklers (OPEN), Tullamore Drama Society have Dead Man Walking (CONFINED) and On Q Theatre will perform Walking The Road (OPEN).

Sunday’s performances include Cloonacool Players with Birthright (CONFINED), Prosperous Drama Group with Bobby Gould In Hell (OPEN) and Backstage Theatre take on The Lithium Waltz (OPEN) .

Some of the above groups have already qualified for the One Act finals in Ballyduff, Co Waterford so the competition is expected to be quite high this year at the Carrigallen festival!

Admission is €10 nightly or weekend ticket €20.
