Derek Warfield & The Young Wolfe Tones will bring the real Irish spirit of music, song and dance to J’s Hotel, Mohill, on Tuesday January 1st at 9pm.

Derek Warfield and The Young Wolfe Tones are known throughout the world for their quality musical presentation of Irish Patriotic Songs & Traditional Irish Music with top class fiery introductions from their lead singer, song writer and storyteller, Derek Warfield.

An outstanding singer, stage personality, composer of songs and historian of the song and music tradition, Derek Warfield is a legend wherever Irish roots have been put down. He has enjoyed phenomenal success for some 40 years with the Wolfe Tones, with 13 best-selling albums, number one hits, television appearances and shows in Carnegie Hall in New York and the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Derek Warfield the leader, founder and front man of the legendary Old Wolfe Tones until they broke up in 2001 and after nearly 40 years together many ballad fans thought that the patriotic spirit of Irish song would die with the breakup of the quartet, but not so, Derek has ensured that our heroes and patriots will never be forgotten and that the patriotic musical legacy and spirit will live on. He is now joined on stage by some of the finest Irish musicians and singers from a younger generation.

Derek will keep the Irish spirits up and there will be Songs, Jigs and Reels for all you “Boys and Girls” no matter where you’re from.
