Gaelic dictionary and novel launched in Glens Centre

The launch of Rossa Ó Snodaigh’s Gaelic Dictionary ‘Our Fada’ and Séamus Mac Annaidh’s Gaelic novel ‘Ar Ais Go Keriolet’ took place at the Glens Centre, Manorhamilton recently.
A large crowd was in attendance, including Sligo/Leitrim’s Sinn Féin TD Michael Colreavy and UCD’s Professor of Inclusive Design For Education, Elizabeth Goodman. Harpist Michael Absalom performed on the night with Raidió na Gaeltachta’s presenter, Rónán Mac Aodh Bhuí assuming MC duties for the evening.
Former Leitrim Man Of The Year and director of the theatre company, Splódar, Proin Ó Duigneáin, Cathaoirleach of Glór Chluainín also spoke about the long tradition of writing in Irish in the area, especially that of the Annals of The Four Masters.
