Historical music event to take place on Turbet Island

Turbet Island, Belturbet is set to host its first music event in over 800 years with ‘Turbet Live’ taking place next Saturday, June 9th.

Organised by the Belturbet Tidy Towns Committee, the event will include performances from An Lochrann Linn Brass Band, Cavan Rugby All-Male Voice Choir and the Ulster Youth Jazz Orchestra. The musical extravaganza is set to take place from 5pm to 8pm and will cost just €10 per person or €20 per family.

Commenting on the event, Barry Wilson, Public Relations Officer for the Belturbet Tidy Towns Committee said: “Turbet Live is on in the late afternoon so that it is suitable for adults and children alike and what better way to spend a Saturday evening.”
