Last Wednesday Club date for Eventide group

Eventide

Eventide

The Last Wednesday Club at The Dock is delighted to welcome four of the most talented young Irish musicians currently on the scene in Ireland to play a concert on Wednesday 30th January.

Under the name Eventide the group comprises Tola Custy on fiddle, singer Pauline Scanlon, Donogh Hennessy on guitar and Padraig Rynne on concertina.

Each of them has established firm reputations as musicians of the highest caliber through playing with groups like Lunasa, The Alan Kelly Quartet and Lumiere over the last number of years.

As Eventide the four bring all of their vast playing experience and musical knowledge together to play music that skirts the borders between Americana and age old songs, the fringes between West Clare jigs and Breton gavottes, guitar plucked waltzes, and tense renditions of The Foggy Dew are this group’s realm.

Music and feelings change sometimes imperceptibly and it is these moments of change that this four piece from Dingle and Clare like to explore.

You can expect beautiful music and exceptional musicianship from 8.30pm on Wednesday 30th.

Tickets are priced at €15/€12 and are available from the box office on 071 96 50828 or on line at www.thedock.ie

This concert is made possible through the continued assistance of Leitrim County Council and The Arts.
