FIVE of Ireland’s leading folk musicians have come to together to collectively thumb their noses at the current financial crisis.

Eleanor Shanley, Séamus Begley, Frankie Lane, Mick Hanley and Paul Kelly are currently touring the country with their delightfully titled ‘Folk the Recession’ show, a lively mix of music, song and story. The show, which will take place in the Coleman Music Centre, Gurteen, Co. Sligo, on Saturday, May 26, will offer fans an opportunity to banish those recession blues for one night.
