On Saturday, January 26, The Chapel Sessions welcomes the World Renowned Irish Guitarist, Producer, Songwriter and Folk Legend, Declan Sinnott, as part of his national tour with this debut vocal album - ‘I Love The Noise It makes’, released 10th Sept 2012 with Warner Music.

With a career spanning over 40 years, Declan Sinnott was a founding member of the great Horslips and Moving Hearts - two of the most influential trad electric bands in Ireland. He then spent 13 years guiding Mary Black’s career, producing the majority of her music. And since the year 2000 Sinnott has been guitarist and producer to Christy Moore, who was recently named as Ireland’s greatest living musician in RTÉ’s ‘People of the Year Awards’.

It may seem unusual for a 61 year old to be releasing his debut album, or for him to be offered an unsolicited record deal, but this is a very special album and one that doesn’t follow any generic pattern. Gradually over the last 5 years, Declan has found his voice and grown into the idea of stepping up to the mark in his own right.

Declan Sinnott is appearing at The Chapel Sessions, Carrick-on-Shannon on January 26 . Doors open at 8pm. Tickets a€18 now on sale at The Reading Room, Bridge St. Carrick-on-Shannon. Tel (071) 9671580.
