Two charity functions are being held locally to raise funds for the James Gill Cancer Treatment.

This Friday, April 5, Coxs Steakhouse, Dromod are holding a charity event with music by Nando and Shandy. Admission is optional. On Saturday, April 20 Taylors Bar Drumsna are hosting a Fundraising event for James the son of local man Declan Gill.

Twenty year old James Gill has “one last chance left” at survival. He has been told there is “nothing more” that can be done in Ireland to save him, the only opportunity remaining involves an €80,000 clinical trial treatment in America. James, the son of Drumsna’s Declan Gill and grandson of PJ and Mary Gill of Coolcreeve, Drumsna, has been “to hell and back” for the past two years, after he was diagnosed with a rare form of liver cancer called fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma.

The family need the support of the community to help reach the €80,000 target.
