Introduction to screen writing with Laurence Henson will be held in Longford County Library 7.30 -9.30pm on november 14, 21, 28 and December 5.

The course is open to the general public, local writers, poets and to anyone who has an interest in developing their ideas / stories into a film project. Laurence Henson, who penned the films ‘Flash the Sheepdog’ (1966), ‘The Big Catch’ (1967) and ‘The Duna Bull’ (1972), has been running courses for years, winning praise from his students.

The course covers all he craft of screenwriting, how to position the audience, the writing process, screenplay structure, narrative drive and importantly how to sell or have your screenplay produced. The course fee is €50 and includes a bound copy of Laurence Henson’s accompanying notes.
