In case you didn’t know, Drumshanbo’s An Tóstal is just around the corner taking place over the June Bank Holiday weekend.
An Tóstal Art Workshops 2014
Have you ever wanted to try your hand at a Pottery Wheel or Painting Pottery, Clay Sculpting, Pastels, Oil Painting, Jewellery Creation or even improve your photography skills?
If the answer is yes please come along this Saturday 24th May between 1pm and 3pm to The An Tóstal Art Arcade, Drumshanbo where you can find out more about the workshops and register for one or more of the many introductory classes we will be running. All workshops are €5 or €10 and will be run by professional artists.
Places are limited so please come along early! The workshops are running from Monday 26th May until Monday 2nd June as part of the An Tóstal Festival 2014. For more details about the events taking place this June Bank Holiday in Drumshanbo please check out www.antostalfestival.ie.
An Tóstal Art Exhibition 2014
We are expecting a host of talent from near and far to be on display again this year and if you would like to submit a piece forms are available in the Drumshanbo Library or at www.antostalfestival.ie. Submission of entries will take place on Saturday 24th May 2014 between 1pm & 3pm in The An Tóstal Art Arcade, Drumshanbo.
Junior artists (Category 1) Art work in any medium is limited to one per artist (Free entry).
Entries for over 18’s (Category 2) will be accepted in any medium including Sculpture, Photography & film. Entries are limited to 3 works per person or 1 for film.
An entry fee of €5 per piece applies, €10 for film. The official opening of the Exhibition will take place on Friday 30th May, at 7.30pm in The An Tóstal Art Arcade by Gail Quinn, Solas Art Gallery.
