‘Taking Liberties’ in The Dock
Curator Brendan Dean of Ballinamore launched the annual multi-media exhibition in the Dock Arts Centre, Carrick-On-Shannon on August 7 as part of Northwest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Pride.
The exhibition boasts work by a collective of national and international artists who have come together to celebrate their own sense of liberty. Through a variety of media, artists will address their personal idea of liberty in the aptly named ‘Taking Liberties’ exhibition.
This is the sixth year that Northwest LGBT Pride has hosted the exhibition. In previous years the exhibition has been held in The Leitrim Sculpture Centre, Manorhamilton. Northwest LGBT Pride is delighted to be working with a new venue this year. The exhibition runs until the 15th of August.
