Looking for some pre-Christmas fun? Look no further than The Leitrim Laughs Comedy Club at The Dock on Thursday, December 13 where Pat McDonnell and John Colleary, two of the stars of RTE televisions The Savage Eye, will be performing their award winning comedy routines
You’ll all know Pat McDonnell (He’s Eoin Mc Love from Father Ted) but he has more to his game than that memorable appearance in the classic series. Pat has been extremely busy performing on television over the last decade. You will have seen him on the box in the award winning and critically acclaimed sketch show “Stew”, “Don’t feed the gondolas”, “Val Falvey TD” and the IFTA award winner “Naked camera” but Patrick is at his best when standing up and making people laugh. This he has done with gusto since 1996, when he appeared as a novice at the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Comedy Festival.
John Colleary’s comedy career has been going from strength to strength in the last year. He won a coveted PPI award for his sketches on The Matt Cooper show on Today FM, completed another series of The Savage Eye which he co-wrote and is currently appearing in the Irish Pictorial Weekly show on RTE 1 Television with Barry Murphy and a host of other top flight comedians. Anyone who has seen John live or on TV will be aware that he has the comic good to bring the house down and that is what we hope will happen on Thursday next.
