This year’s production bring 25 young actors together in a new play “Through another Lens” written by youth member Ryan Finnegan, members of the group, Maura Williamson and Yvonne Heijeneman.

Directed by Maura Williamson, Yvonne Heijeneman, Ryan Finnegan, and collaborative devising from members of the group.

Described by Ryan as a modern play about how society cannot accept people who are different, “outcasts.”

A Young girl having been home schooled for 10 years goes to secondary school for the first time, and is faced with many difficulties, personal and otherwise.

With the presence of bullies tormenting her, their inability to adjust and embrace her different, comments, tricks and words can have a devastating effect on a sensitive bright girl.

Could all of this become too much for her? A play with some strong language, strong messages, audiences are to be educated and entertained.
