They say ‘The best things in life are free’ and this is very true of the Ballinamore Free Fringe Festival which runs from August 22 -25 across 10 live venues in Ballinamore.
This year’s festival will see over 250 acts take to the stage. Travelling from all across the world, countries such as Finland, United Kingdom, Australia, America and Germany will all be represented over the weekend along with performers from every county in the country making their way to lovely Leitrim.
The festival was launched on August 1 with Organiser Tracy Murray and special guests Deputy Luke Ming Flanagan, Eurovision legend Charlie McGettigan, musical star Ashley Tubridy and harpist and composer Claire Roche, poet J Wilmot and renowned fiddle player Gerry Harrington attending.
Acts at the festival this year include Theatre Performance Group performing ‘Bassam’, musicians Finnish star Aapo Halme, Scorpion Jack, Penrose, Window Seats, Ashley Tubridy, Conor Walsh, Fat Baby Panda, Afro Dinosaur, The Celtic Blondes and The Aluskas. Comedians include FJ Murray, Keith Goldsmith, Fintan Harvey, ‘Close Up Magic’ - Jordan Parke and 235 other amazing artists, acts and performers.
