Rhyme, Rant & Rann celebrates Ireland’s tremendous traditional arts heritage in a fresh and unfussy evening filled with tall tales, splendid songs and wickedly wise words in The Glens centre, Manorhamilton this Friday, September 28 at 8.30pm.
Rhyme, Rant & Rann features three of Ireland’s finest creative artists: Len Graham (traditional singer), Jack Lynch (actor, storyteller) and Theo Dorgan (poet, writer). The proximity of Manorhamilton to Glencar waterfall, source of inspiration for W. B Yeats, resonates strongly with Theo Dorgan, in particular, as a poet, writer and translator.
In Rhyme, Rant and Rann, audiences can look forward to hearing Theo’s poetry and prose inspired by his lifelong love of the sea.
Len Graham is one of Ireland’s finest keepers of folk tunes and ballads, and his heartwarming song performances are a moving mix of sad farewells and joyous homecomings. The third member of the trio is renowned storyteller Jack Lynch, who weaves outrageous yarns and tall tales with an expert hand.
