‘An Evening of Summer Music’ with John Carty’s Festival Band takes place in St. Joseph’s Hall on Saturday night at 8.30pm. John and his band will play a unique spectrum of styles, all interwoven into a carnival occasion of uplifting music and song! Anybody that saw John’s memorable concert at BAF 2011 will know they are in for a rare treat. Lunchtime Concerts continue at King House until Friday and you can see pianists Adam McDonagh and Darragh Brogan. Don’t miss out on the special family concert on Thursday at 1.30pm with the Odd Couple who will cover everybody from Cole porter to Amy Winehouse!

The King House auditorium sees a welcome showing of the Oscar winning black & white film ‘The Artist’ on August 1 and on Thursday, the classic Titanic Film ‘A Night To Remember’ gets its’ first big screen treatment in Boyle in over 50 years. On Saturday at 12pm you can see a repeat showing of the local film ‘Boyle – Through the Magic Lantern’.

There’s poetry and harp music with Catch the Moon on Thursday and the Dublin Youth Opera Co stop by at King House on Friday. Look out for a unique concert of pulsating, dynamic sounds performed by local group ‘Stomp’ in St. Joseph’s Hall on Saturday at 1:30pm.

Don’t miss fascinating talks on life in the Rockingham estate by John Clapison, Triona and Dr. Karol Mullaney Dignam. Boyle Drama Group present ‘The Diary of Adrian Mole aged 13 ¾’ on Wednesday August 1st. Seanachai and storyteller, Vincent Pierse stops by Clarke’s bar on Friday and there’s a coffee concert on Saturday with The Meridian Trio in King House.

The Family Fun day gets underway on Saturday at the Pleasure Grounds with music, DJ Richie, bouncing castles, The Custard Pie Theatre, a mini zoo and lots more. The fun starts at 2pm and continues until 5pm and it’s all free!
