“Trad Meitheal” is the seventh annual charity concert organised and performed by the Traditional Irish Music Course in Drumshanbo.

This evening of song and dance will be held in the Mayflower Community Centre Drumshanbo this Friday, March 1 at 8pm.

Traditionally a Meitheal is the sharing of labour, skill and company and now a days this is more important then ever.

The music students have interpreted this as a musical meitheal with the sharing and transmission of the traditional music and cultural wealth.

Once again the skills of the sound engineering course under the guidance of Liam Cunningham will be used to full effect. This year’s proceeds will go to the Breffni Centre Carrick-on-Shannon, the Vincent de Paul Drumshanbo and STOP Suicide Manorhamilton.

Tickets are only €5 and will be available at the door on the night.

So please come along for a guaranteed night of craic and spraoi.
