With just one day to go until the curtain is raised on the spectacular and hilarious comedy/horror musical, Little Shop of Horrors, anticipation has reached fever pitch ahead of what promises to be the musical highlight of the year in the town!
Twelve weeks have elapsed since rehearsals began back in late August and in that time the cast, committee, crew and production team have spent almost every spare moment ensuring that this will be one hell of a show!
So, the lights are set, the paint is dry, the soundcheck completed, the costumes pressed and all the plants watered, leaving the cast waiting in the wings, ready to unveil what promises to be Boyle Musical Society’s funniest and most exciting show ever!
Little Shop of Horrors tells the story of Seymour Krelborn a nerdy geek, who is given a job in a run-down Florists. One day just after an eclipse of the Sun, Seymour discovers a strange plant which he buys and names Audrey II, after the girl of his dreams. While caring for Audrey II, Seymour discovers the plant’s rather unique appetite for human blood, when he pricks his finger on a thorn. Seymour has difficulty providing enough blood for the plant and when he stops feeding it, Audrey II reveals she can speak!
