Some of the highlights include marquee dancing to Nathan Carter (Thursday Aug 20), Gerry Guthrie (Saturday Aug 22) and Declan Nerney (Sunday Aug 23). Apart from the dancing, the hard working committee have put together a varied list of events starting with the sheep dog trials on Saturday next at 3pm in the GAA Park. This event was very popular and interesting last year and should draw a good crowd.

Sunday is Sports and Family Day and begins in the GAA Park at 2pm with a Children’s Fancy Dress.

Monday night sees a variety concert in the marquee, starting at 8pm. An array of local talent will perform including singers, dancers, musicians with a comedy sketch in what should be a brilliant night.

Tuesday night is Fashion Show night in the marquee at 8pm. Again, an excellent list of shops will model including EJ’s menswear, Kabuki, Ruby Lane, Manor Fashions, Padanee Bridal and Carrie Bradshawe designer shoes. Hair on the night is by Aisling Flynn, Make up by Niamh-Beauty on your Doorstep and chair covers by Anne Hurrell, not forgetting Best Dressed Lady sponsored by Cllr Mary Bohan and Best Dressed Man sponsored by Cllr Felim Gurn. On Wednesday, the Clay Pigeon Shoot takes place at 5pm in the GAA Park.

This is a new event and should provide plenty of entertainment for everyone. Wednesday evening sees an under 12 disco from 8pm until 10pm in the marquee.
