Beezneez Theatre Company, one of the most popular touring companies in Ireland are about to embark on a major national tour with Michael Carey’s stunningly successful comedy/drama, Thy Will be Done.
Thy Will be Done opens in The Dock, Carrick-on-Shannon, next Monday June 22 and plays there until Thursday, June 25 at the start of a twelve venue tour which ends in The Hawks Well, Sligo on July 20.
Carey’s play is one of the most popular new Irish plays of this generation and as well as being produced all over Ireland, it has featured in USA, Australia, Sweden and Denmark.
It is a tale of two warring brothers and a home help who tries to make some sense of their feud which is in danger of alienating their son and nephew when the woman in their lives passes away in America.
It is a moving play which is laced with hilarious comedy as we watch the antics of Jack and his home help, Bridie, as they come to grips with an ever evolving family situation.
‘Thy Will be Done,’ which features Carrick-on-Shannon actors John McDwyer and Mick O’Rourke who, together with Beezneez regulars, Longford’s Eileen Murphy and Padraic Neary from Tubbercurry is bound to be another major Beezneez hit.
