Sonny Condell, Philip King, Robbie Overson aka Scullion are back on the road with a raft of new songs under their belt from their new album ‘Long Wave.’

One of the most popular and influential bands to emerge in Ireland, Scullion arrive in Carrick on foot of a hugely successful national tour and The Dock is delighted to bring you this unique live experience for one night only. They will peform in The Dock this Friday.

Some bands are destined to stay together, the songs a powerful cohesive in the intertwined lives of their performers. Scullion is such a band. Three decades on from their formative gigs, their signature sound is as strong as ever, gaining depth and clarity. The voices of Sonny Condell and Philip King have taken on a seamless harmony, pinioned by the guitar playing of Robbie Overson, who has ably filled the role of founding member Greg Boland.

They’ve remained loyal to the band’s original vision and its recasting of folk and traditional songs with contemporary splashes of jazz and blues colour. It’s a recipe that yielded four seminal albums, and an impressive catalogue of songwriting landmarks like Eyelids Into Snow, Down in The City and John The Baptist, that still form the backbone of their set today.
