Thursday 20: Carrick Historical Society host Author of the book ‘Sean MacDiaramda,’ Dr Gerard Mac Atasney for a very special lecture of the 1916 Signatory from Kiltyclogher in the Bush Hotel at 8.30pm.

Friday 21: Love:Live Music, CCÉ Drumshanbo is celebrating National Music Day with an Introduction to the Bouzouki class at Drumshanbo Library. This will be followed by an open session for all musicians on High Street, Drumshanbo from 5-7pm.

Saturday 22: Wake up early and get refreshed at the Dawn Run. The run begins at 6am, meeting beside Aldi, Carrick-on-Shannon. Proceeds towards Leitrim ladies. This afternoon the Sean MacDiarmada Summer School gets underway in Kiltyclogher with guest speakers and lecturers.

Sunday 23: Aurivo Charity Cycle/Walk in aid of Special Olympics Ireland at Lough Key, Forest Park, Boyle, Co. Roscommon begins at 12noon. Contact Damien Devaney on 087 235 4374/ ddevaney@aurivo.ie.

Monday 24: Well Woman’s Clinic in the Bee Park Centre, Manorhamilton. The clinic offers a “Woman to Woman” friendly service. The Clinic is funded by the HSE West.

Tuesday 25: Carrick Water Music Festival begins this evening with a Classical Guitar Recital by Darragh O’Neill in St. George’s Church at 8pm.
