To mark the beginning of its 20th anniversary celebrations, The Glens Centre will hold a free screening of the film ‘The Stranger’ at 8.30pm on Friday, February 20.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with director, Neasa Ní Chianáin, conducted by Róisín Loughrey.

‘The Stranger’ tells the story of an artist who died alone, in a stone shed, where he lived without water, electricity or heating on a remote Irish island, leaving behind volumes of secret diaries.

Through her research, the director found out what the islanders never knew about the man who turned his back on the world.
