The feel good factor will return to Mohill on the May Bank Holiday weekend when the County Leitrim Percy French Society gathers again for some great entertainment.

Following on from the success of the official launch of the County Leitrim Percy French Society last July, Tish Dunleavy and her Percy French Group will present a three-day event celebrating this great Irish treasure this May.

The event is in association with the Gathering 2013 initiative.

Percy French witnessed first hand the great cultural traditional that are very much part of our heritage. Traditions such as matchmaking, cattle jobbing, the Fair Day all featured in his works. These traditions were an integral part of life in County Leitrim.

There are events organised for Friday, May 3 - Sunday May 5 including performances of original Percy French sketches, art work by the multi talented French, singing by the Sweet Spirit Gospel Choir, performances from The Killyran Warackers, workshops on Percy French and a resurrection from the dead by the man himself!

There will also be fringe events taking place with singing, schools and sporting competitions. If you want to be part of this exciting weekend or would like to help out contact Tish Dunleavy on (086) 0827430 or Luke Early on (087) 2470795.
