With an average of three sales every week maintained through the summer and now in to October, it is no wonder REA Brady Estate Agents are trying to replenish their property portfolio.

Karen Litton, Property Sales Manager at REA Brady in Carrick-on-Shannon told us that in 90% of all recent sales property price guides are being reached or exceeding the price guide.

With Sterling hitting 1.20 this week against the Euro, demand is outweighing supply and Karen has seen a steady increase in UK purchasers looking for holiday homes, permanent homes, and properties with up to 10 acres of land, where they are able to relocate and literally “live the dream”.

Most of those purchasers are cash buyers, in short term rental accommodation, ready to buy. In addition the increase in first time buyers looking for their first home in and around Carrick-on-Shannon is evident.

Karen is particularly looking for cottages with land, good quality houses/bungalows in Carrick-on-Shannon, and detached houses on good sites in rural locations in and around the Carrick-on-Shannon and Boyle areas.

For anyone contemplating putting their house on the market Karen is available for a free market appraisal and can be contacted on (071) 9622444 or (086) 8364356. Alternatively call to the offices at Castlequay House on the main Dublin Road where she will be happy to show you comparable recent sales in your area and discuss any property related queries you may have.
