Knock Airport chief in warning to Government

Knock Airport

Knock Airport

Liam Scollan, Co Leitrim native and Chief Executive of Ireland West Airport Knock, is calling on the Government to provide funding for the airport in line with the €75 million development plan it announced late last year for Shannon Airport.

Mr Scollan is due to meet with Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Minister for Transport, Leo Varadkar on January 28 to discuss the matter but wants a level playing field.

He warned that if Knock is not treated in a similar way the airport will take a case to the competition directorate in Brussels.
