There were a few changes with personnel, titles and departments this week in Leitrim County Council as Enterprise Ireland merged into the council and water services moved out under the control of Irish Water.
The National Local Enterprise Offices’s launch was on Tuesday, April 29. The Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Leitrim is the first point of contact for all new and existing businesses in Co Leitrim.
Providing support in the form of advice, training, mentoring, as well as financial assistance and the development of company management skills. Leitrim’s Local Enterprise Office at the HIVE, Dublin Road, Carrick on Shannon will be relocating within the coming months to Aras An Chontae. Visit www.localenterprise.ie/Leitrim
Also this week, the controversial group Irish Water took over the water network, meaning that issues with water supply, quality and waste water should be reported to them.
Surface water drainage and flood management will remain the responsibility of local authorities.
