Meet the Get Fit Challengers

This Saturday, August 11 you get the chance to meet with the four local contestants of the Get Fit Challenge.

This Saturday, August 11 you get the chance to meet with the four local contestants of the Get Fit Challenge.

The challenge was launched a few weeks ago and three contestants have been selected to benefit form six months of personal training, nutrition and motivation.

D&S Fitness will open their brand new studio at Unit 2, Park Lane, Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday and this provides the opportunity for you to get to meet and get to know the contestants who will be giving their weight loss and fit progress over the next six months.

The contestants are: Michelle Reilly from Boornacoola, Mary Faughnan from Mohill and Stephanie McTiernan from Drumshanbo.

More detail on their stats, goals and motivations will be published next week, and after that we will follow their efforts, triumphs and challenges as they battle the bulge with personal trainers Siofra O’Connor and Dave Hanely.

The grand opening and meet and greet will be at the new D&S Fitness Studio on Park Lane from 3.30pm. Cathaoirleach of Leitrim County Council Enda Stenson will unveil the new studio.

The studio will provide spinning and kettle bell training as well as Parsonal Training. There will be a cheese and wine reception with spot prizes and a nutritionist will be on hand to talk to everyone.
