Having appeared on the RTE series Supergarden in April of last year, award-winning Leitrim based landscape designer, Leonie Cornelius, is back on our screens as part of the RTE afternoon show Today, presented by Daithi O’SÈ and Maura Derrane.

She first appeared on the show last month and her regular fortnightly slot will feature her own designs and plantings based on wild nature and beautiful architecture.

“I’m really excited by this new opportunity,” enthused Leonie, “I believe so strongly in a blending old and new, creating a liveable, functional garden, and I’m so pleased at this chance to share my vision with a wider audience.”

Leonie won the Supergarden competition with her design of a family and pet-friendly garden in Sligo town. Part of that prize was the chance to present her own garden design at Bloom in the Park in Dublin’s Phoenix Park.

Leonie’s amazing design there earned her a coveted Gold Medal and a Best in Category award from the judges.

Since then the mum-of-one has kept busy running her own garden design business, Blume Design House (www.blume.ie) from her home inFivemilebourne.
