The Glens Centre Manorhamilton plays host to a wonderful weekend of music with two of the hottest names in Trad Mike McGoldrick & John Doyle hitting the venue at 8.30pm on Friday, June 15 and Drumkeerin accordion player Michael O’Brien hosting the Sunday afternoon session at 4pm on the 17th.
Master of flutes, whistles and Uillean pipes Mike is a founding member of Flook, and Lúnasa and is a current member of Capercaillie. Regarded as one of the greatest flute players of all time, Michael McGoldrick has been playing traditional Irish music since his early childhood days in Manchester, England, thanks to his influential parents and thickly absorbed cultural background.
John Doyle is one of the most influential and important musicians in Irish music today. He was a founding member of Irish American supergroup Solas in the 1990s and recently served as band leader for the Joan Baez band. As a guitarist, he is unparalleled for his harmonic and rhythmic genius.

The Glens Sunday Session is an informal family friendly session celebrating the best of local traditional music. All musicians are welcome to join in and children and musicians are free. Adm €5.
