Leitrim’s Allianz National Football League Division 4 campaign was brought to a disappointing end on Sunday when they were defeated by Fermanagh in Enniskillen on a scoreline of 2-15 to 0-7.
Leitrim opened the scoring through Kevin Conlan but it was Fermanagh who dominated the opening half and held a comprehensive 1-8 to 0-3 lead at the interval.
The second half was also dominated by the home side with Seamus Quigley finishing with a personal tally of 2-6.
After the game Barney Breen offered no excuses for the Leitrim display and insisted his side will have to improve considerably for the clash with London in the Connacht Championship on June 6.
