The M Donnelly Minor 60x30 Championship came to a conclusion on Saturday in Abbeylara when Donal Wrynn took on Limerick’s Paudi Quish in the All-Ireland Final.

The Fenagh clubman entered the game having scored historic All Ireland Minor 40x20 singles and 60x30 doubles triumphs but in the newly crowned Minor Hardball Singles champion, he found a bridge too far. Paudie Quish, who still has another year in this grade, gave a superb exhibition of 60x30 play with his fly kill-shots and slicing spins down the sides of the court thrilling his large Limerick support.

He won the opener 21-3 and lead by 12-2 in the second. Wrynn did fire up a few top class long range corner kills to close the deficit and he did serve at 8-12 but Quish quickly found his gears again and closed out the match at 21-9.
