Leitrim GAA County Board are asking the county’s clubs for nominations for the position of Leitrim Senior team manager.

The move comes as the two-year term of George Dugdale and Brian Breen came to an end after the defeat by Armagh in the Qualifiers. It is not known if the pair are interested in continuing on in the job but it is open to clubs to re-nominate the outgoing management set-up as well as anyone else they wish.

In an email to the county’s clubs seeking nominees, County Board Secretary Diarmuid Sweeney wrote “Leitrim County Committee meeting of 11/12/11 ratified George Dugdale and Barney Breen as joint managers of the Leitrim senior football team for a two year term (exit from 2013 championship). As the term of appointment has concluded, Clubs are invited to submit nominee(s) to this role before Friday 9 August 2013 by completing the attached form and with the consent of the nominee(s).”
