The Leitrim Observer understands that Sean Hagan is set to be re-nominated as Leitrim Senior team manager pending further discussions.
The Longford man told the Observer after the All-Ireland Qualifier loss to Down that he would be considering his position but it is believed that Hagan is in line to return for the 2015 campaign.
With County Board Chairman Joe Flynn on holidays, discussions over the manager’s role have been put on hold but the Observer understands that the County Board Executive Committee met last Wednesday and decided to reappoint the outgoing manager.
No comment was available from County Board officials but it is believed that the Executive will meet with Hagan to discuss future plans before the nomination is put before the County’s clubs for ratification.
Speaking after the Down game, Hagan said of his future “From experience, you can’t rush a decision on the spur of any one result.”
