London may have taken Mayo to extra-time last year in the Championship and scored a first ever Qualifier victory against Fermanagh but manager Paul Coggins is insisting that London must forget all they achieved last year.
Last year London were minutes away from shocking Mayo. Extra-time was again their downfall but they bounced back from that loss and defeated Fermanagh in the qualifiers. But as their manager is quick to point out, they all belong to the past.
“I’m just concentrating solely on getting the lads ready for Sunday. What happened last year can never be forgotten. It was an historic occasion for London. It will be hard to beat that but it’s in the history books now. The main thing is that the players, management and everyone involved with London is not happy to just stop at that. That’s why such a big effort was put in this year. I’m certainly not going to rest on what we did last year.”
