The GAA should look at restructuring the All-Ireland Champoionship according to joint manager George Dugdale.
“It is certainly something that needs to be looked at,” said George, “because fellows in Leitrim are making the same effort as the fellows in Dublin or Mayo. They are giving up their time, travelling hundreds of miles and as the gulf gets bigger, you just can’t compete so something has to be done.
“Hurling looked at it a number of years ago and they restructured into three different championships and maybe that is something they need to look at. I don’t know what the answer is but landslide victories aren’t any good for either team.”
