Leitrim’s clash with Sligo in the Tesco Homegrown Ladies League Semi-Finals has been fixed for Ballyhaunis GAA pitch next Sunday, April 26, at 4 pm.

With table toppers Waterford taking on Roscommon earlier in the day in Nenagh, both Leitrim and Sligo will travel to the Mayo pitch for the right to contest the Division 3 Final which will be televised on TG4 at 12.15 on Saturday, May 9, along with the Division One and Two Finals.

Leitrim will be eager to gain revenge for their 1-11 to 0-7 loss to the Yeatswomen, their first defeat of the League campaign, with the Sligo women building up a comprehensive 1-8 to 0-1 halftime lead in the game in Ballinamore.

Sligo suffered just two losses in the campaign, against Waterford and Roscommon, but seem to have rediscovered their form in the latter rounds of the League.

The two teams are scheduled to meet on Sunday, May 17, in the Connacht Junior Championship so will be eager to put down a marker for the remainder of the Summer particularly as the two teams met in last year’s Connacht Junior Final, Leitrim winning 3-12 to 1-14.
