The meeting of St. Mary’s and Glencar/Manorhamilton in the semi-finals of the Connacht Gold Senior Championship may be the big news of the weekend but London’s Senior Final next weekend will have a strong Leitrim flavour too.

Former Leitrim stars David O’Connor of Bornacoola and Declan Gilhooley of Allen Gaels will be part of the Fulham Gaels team, along with selector Peter Reynolds from Ballinamore, who take on a Tir Chonaill Gaels side managed by former Leitrim manager Brian Breen in next Sunday’s London Senior Championship Final.

But most attention is focussed on the Senior and Intermediate semi-finals with the meeting of St. Mary’s and Glencar/Manor the stand out tie.

Aughawillan and Allen Gaels will renew old rivalries in the other Senior Semi-Final while the Intermediate competition has thrown up two exciting contests with St. Patrick’s Dromahair taking on neighbours Drumkeerin and Ballinamore Sean O’Heslin’s facing Ballinaglera.
