The Kinlough men had four glorious goal chances in last Saturday’s stop start and disjointed Senior Championship Quarter-Final as they failed to score for the last 20 minutes of action, seeing a four point lead overturned by an energetic St. Mary’s.

The 2012 champions saw James Glancy make two vital contributions for the Carrick men, clawing a shot off the line in the first half and blocking a close range Peter McGowan shot in the second.

The introduction of Jimmy Guckian also proved vital for St. Mary’s as his physical presence saw his team get a grip around the middle of the field as his side scored seven unanswered points to book a semi-final encounter against Carrigallen next Saturday evening.
