Asked about the incident that saw Quinn dismissed after just four minutes, Aughawillan manager Sean Pierson said “To be honest with you, with the way the weather conditions were in the first half, some of the decisions of the referee made were mind blowing in my eyes. There were lots of other harder tackles throughout the game than the two sendings off.”

But Glencar/Manor boss Glenn Young was adamant the right decision was made - “The first sending off was a sending off, the second sending off was a sending off and to be honest, they were lucky, there should have been another man off. I have no issues, if a fellow deserves to be sent off, he deserves to be sent off, the referee did his job.”
