Leitrim captain Emlyn Mulligan hailed the character shown by his Green & Gold troops who battled back to secure a draw.

“We’re happy with another day out,” said Emlyn after a pulsating finish, “a lot of things went wrong for us today and to be fair, London put in a massive performance again today. We’ll regroup for the week, it will be an interesting battle ahead.

“The boys have pulled tight and at the end of the day, it really showed there in the last five minutes, when we needed a bit of character, the boys all pulled it out of the bag. The two goals gave them a lifeline.

“I thought until the second, we were comfortable, it put pressure on us and to be fair, the lads responded brilliantly. I’m proud of every one of them there today and we’ll regroup and focus on next Sunday.”

“The second goal obviously gave them that bit of belief, we were comfortable at that stage.”
