The following deaths have occurred in the Leitrim area:

Jill Marie Lattimore, Longford Town / Mohill, Co Leitrim

Jill Marie Lattimore, Longford Town and Mohill, Co Leitrim, Saturday, November 26, 2016. Peacefully at the North West Hospice, Sligo. Predeceased by her father Arthur. Deeply regretted by her loving sons Craig, Luke and Austin, daughters Caroline and Megan, grandson Cailean, partner Nick, mother Mary, brothers Christopher and Arthur, sisters Lorraine Cassells and Jennifer Logan, extended family and friends. Funeral mass at St Patrick's Church, Mohill this morning, Tuesday, at 11am followed by interment in the new cemetery Mohill. 

 

Ita Flynn, Blackcastle Estate, Navan, Co Meath / Ballinamore, Co Leitrim

The death has occurred of Ita Flynn, Blackcastle Estate, Navan, Co Meath and late of Drumcora, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim. Peacefully at Our Lady's Hospital, Navan on Saturday, November 26, 2016. Beloved sister of the late Nora Flynn (Chicago), Josie Quinn (Longford), Kitty O'Farrell (Dublin and Athlone), Maureen Mulvanerty (London) and Fr. Michael Flynn (Tasmania). Deeply regretted by her loving nieces, nephews, extended family, devoted neighbours and many friends. Removal this morning, Tuesday at 9.30am to St Oliver's Church, Navan, arriving for 10am funeral mass. Cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium Cavan.

Formerly of St Edwards Tce, Sligo and Langan Drive, Sligo. Peacefully at the North West Hospice, Sligo. Beloved husband of Chris and dear father of John, TC, Helen, Stephen, Patrick and Lindsey. Deeply regretted by his wife, sons, daughters, brothers Marty, Terry, Darby and Bobby, sisters Bridie, Jean and Helen, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at the Foley and McGowan Funeral home, Market Yard, Sligo today, Tuesday, November 29, from 5.30pm with removal at 7pm to St Anne`s Church, Sligo arriving at 7.30pm. Mass of the Resurrection at 11am on Wednesday with funeral proceeding to Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan arriving at 2.30pm approximately. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the North west Hospice and Friends of Sligo University Hospital.

Joan Burke (née Crowley), Cargains, Tulsk, Co Roscommon / Terenure, Co Dublin

Former Fine Gael TD Roscommon/South Leitrim. Peacefully at the Marlay Nursing Home, Dublin. Pre-deceased by her husband James (former Fine Gael TD). Loved and always remembered by her son Joe, daughter Anne Marie, son in law David, granddaughters Emily and Isabel, sisters Kathleen Walsh and Monica Butler, brother Billy Crowley, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at McHugh's Funeral Home, Strokestown, Co Roscommon today, Tuesday, November 29, from 5pm until 6.30pm. followed by removal to the Church of S.S. Eithne and Fidelma, Tulsk to arrive at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, November 30, at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Tulsk Cemetery.

Margaret Murphy (née Lane), Bishopstown, Co Cork / Four Roads, Co Roscommon

Margaret Murphy (née Lane), Bishopstown, Cork, formerly Four Roads, Co Roscommon, on November 28, 2016, after a long illness exceptionally bravely borne, in the care of the wonderful staff of the Mercy University Hospital. Devoted wife of the late Tomás Murphy, loving mother of Seán, Deirdre, Emer, Niall, Cathal, Niamh and Jayne (Sineád) and dear sister of Josephine, Irene and Austin. Sadly missed by her loving family, grandchildren, extended family and friends. Lying in repose at the Wilton Funeral Home, Sarsfield Road of Jerh O’Connor Ltd., from Wednesday. Removal at 6.30pm (same day) (Wednesday) to St Joseph’s S.M.A Church, Wilton. Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Thursday. Funeral afterwards to St James’ Cemetery, Chetwynd. House private.Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to the Mercy Hospital Foundation if desired.
