This weekend can’t come quick enough for the two clubs of Kilglass Gaels & St Barry’s as this Saturday night their joint white collar boxing fundraiser sponsored by Cox’s Bar Rooskey & The Shannon Bar Tarmonbarry take place in the Kilglass Gaels club hall.

This is the second year that both clubs have come together to organise such an event & if like last year it sure dose promise to be a great night.

The boxers just like the clubs have been busy in their preparations for this night and have beign in training for this event for the last 10 weeks.

The night promises to be a night of great entertainment for both young and old alike. Come see the boxers take to the ring for their big fight.

Aswell as that our local publicans will also have some one ordered into the ring to battle it out in the battle of the pubs. All this will be overseen by the watchful eye of our mc on the night who will be Ian Cooney sports editor of the Roscommon Herald.

Of Leitrim interest will of course be Damien Moran From Bornacoola & Colm O’Hagan from Annaduff when they will represent both club and county whe they take on their respective boxers from the two Roscommon clubs and no doubt both will want bragging rights over the Rossies.

Tickets are on sale from both clubs & from the boxers €10 for adults & €5 for minors. We would encourage everyone attending to buy a ticket as the ticket also will enter you into a draw for a weekend away , €100 meal voucher sponsored by the Glasson country house hotel & golf club & €50 cash prize.
