We had 287 entries from seven different counties, making the competition a fantastic success with the remaining eight players competing for a prize fund of €3000, with a first prize of €1200 and Leitrim Crystal trophy.

Spare a thought for Mayo’s Pat Bradley who reached three finals and two semis and failed to qualify, that after a four & a half hour round trip each night.

It promises to be a great final’s night with practice from 8.30, open draw by the players at 9pm, play starts 9.30. Quarter Finals will be played on two boards with the losers receiving €150 each. The semi-finals will be played on one board, with the losers receiving €300 each. In the final, the winner will receive €1,200 and the runner-up €600 & the winner will receive €1200.

Thanks to Paddy’s bar for their sponsorship of €500, €200 to the prize fund, €200 to Leitrim Darts for use of stands and the winner’s trophy.

On the night, the newly formed men’s board will hold their pick a double fundraiser on the night.

All we want now is your presence for what should be a terrific night of tungsten throwing, even if you only have a passing interest in darts please come along as this promises to be a great night’s entertainment, all part of the Carrick 400 Birthday Celebrations.
