Try-a-Tri: This is an event aimed at beginners to the sport of Triathlons and is a pool based swim of 10 lengths, followed by a 14km cycle and then a 4km run.

Registration is thru Aura Leitrim Leisure at a cost of 25 euro, which includes insurance, refreshments, a commemorative t-shirt and a good fun challenge in a helpful, safe and supportive environment. Members can you please email loughkeytriclub@gmail.com to make yourself available to marshal at this event.

Boyle Duathlon: A great event and very well organised by main man David Gunning, and helpers. The weather shone and so did some of the performances. Every competitor was complementing the well organised event. Male: Fastest Bike Barry Kerr; Fastest 5km Tom Cronin; Fastest 2.5km Donnacha Holmes; First Lough Key Tri Club member Donnacha Holmes; Female: Fastest Bike Alice Lynott(3rd in category); Fastest 5km Bernice Harman; Fastest 2.5km Bernice Harman; First Lough Key Tri club member Bernice Harman(2nd in category); Anne-Marie Keenan (1st in category). There was only 1min 41secs between the top 3 Lough Key Tri Club female members An Post Sligo: Well done to Andrew Flynn, Mark Kelly and Damien Brehony on their 100km cycle in the Sligo An Post Cycle.

Tri-an-Mhi Half-Ironman distance: Congratulations to our five members who competed in this event on Saturday, some great times and a massive achievement by them all. It’s a result of all their hard training over the past few months.

Sligo 8km: Roy Kelly had a great run in the Sligo 8km on Saturday finishing in 29mins 55secs.

Kildare Half-Marathon: Roy Kelly then took part in the Kildare half-marathon on Sunday and ran a time of 1hr32min.
