We had a well attended and constructive meeting last Wednesday night, thanks to all who travelled on a night when road conditions were dicy and to those who sent apologies.

While we didn’t make much progress in finding a new chairman or treasurer, a lot of issues were dealt with on the night.

The eighth and final ranking event a round robin seeded trials was held in the Blue Devon on Sunday last, 20 players took part. two players L. Aldridge & E McDermott (Snr) achieved 100% success wining all four games.

Conrats to E McDermott (jnr) who is Leitrim’s Number 1 ranked player for this season with 21 points followed by T. Duignan & L Aldridge on 15 points, C. Mulvey has 14 points, E. McDermott Snr 13 points, R. Blain 12 points, Ray Mulvey 10 points, M McGirl nine points, C Fanning & B Kelly share 9th and 10th spot on eight points, S Gannon seven points, K McTernan six points.

Thirteenth place is G. Connolly on five points and the rest of the panel is made up of G. McDermott, R. Mulvey, G McGovern & R. Canning on four points each.

Over the eight events we had over 40 players took part, congrats to all 18 who made the panel and commiserations to those who didn’t. Our thanks to Martina and staff for the fine facilities, finger food & sponsorship of the night.

As this was the present committee’s last ranking event, we would like to thank all of the players who took part in all of our compettitions and also thank you to all our sponsors & host publicans.

Next up is our return challange versus Cavan in Arva date to be confirmed, Sunday, January 12, is the national AGM Sunday, January 20, is the West Coast Challenge in Longford and the Inter-counties in Ennis is on the weekend of February 10.
