The Council is making arrangements to prohibit the parking of large commercial vehicles near Pairc Sean MacDiarmada in Carrick-on-Shannon.

Speaking at the May Council meeting, Cllr Gerry Reynolds asked if the Local Authority could provide bollards from the entrance to P. Coleman’s house to the entrance to Pairc Sean MacDiarmada on the N4.

A spokesperson for the Council agreed that this location was not suitable for the parking of large commercial vehicles and added that work would begin to try and address this problem.
